Let’s get you back to your screenshots.
SnapTrellis turns related captures into a named Vine you can arrange, explain, preserve, and share.
Screen Recording permission
SnapTrellis needs macOS Screen Recording permission to capture a still image of the region you select. It does not record video or audio.
- Open System Settings.
- Choose Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
- Allow SnapTrellis.
- Quit and reopen SnapTrellis if macOS asks you to.
- Try Capture again.
Where captures live
Active captures stay visibly within reach in the Trellis and join the current Vine. Finished captures remain recoverable for seven days. Everything is stored locally in SnapTrellis’s sandboxed app container.
Copy, paste, drag, or save
- Right-click a capture to Copy, Paste Screenshot, Edit, Save As, or Finish.
- Copy Trellis places the complete Vine on the clipboard as a PNG.
- Drag a capture or composed Vine into a compatible Mac app.
- Save As supports PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF, and PDF.
Finish and recover
Finish removes a capture from the active Vine without deleting it immediately. Use Undo or Recently Finished to recover it during the seven-day retention period.
